CO-HOSTED BY:

The Tourism for Security Summit is a high-level convening organized to address insecurity through the transformative potential of tourism.

The Summit will bring together tourism policymakers, security chiefs, private sector stakeholders, community leaders, and development partners, to explore how cultural, heritage, and ecological tourism can be repositioned as effective tools for peacebuilding, economic recovery, youth empowerment, and regional stability.

The event will feature keynote participation from the National Security Adviser, the Honourable Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, and senior leadership of the ACF, underscoring a shared national commitment to non-kinetic, economically driven solutions to insecurity.

Key focus areas of the summit include:

1. Leveraging tourism to rebuild community trust and reclaim public spaces

2. Promoting cultural and ecological tourism as tools for soft power and counter-narrative strategies

3. Enabling cross-sector collaboration between security agencies, tourism operators, and traditional institutions

4. Supporting local tourism practitioners with access to training, investment, and digital tools

5. Developing policy frameworks that integrate tourism into regional and national security strategies

By framing tourism as a pathway to peace and prosperity, the Tourism for Security Summit will lay the groundwork for a new ecosystem that supports national unity, regional growth, and global engagement.
